Gráinneog

Her name is Irish Gaelic for Hedgehog, it was believed that witches took on this prickly form to suckle milk from cows. Literally, Gráinneog means 'the ugly one' or 'horrible one.' Not that this dear one is either but she does despair of the bristling spines that tear her pretty dress and tangle her hair...

What an imagination you have, another beautiful creature.

These are next generation beings, aren't they? More grown up, more independent of the fates, less lost.

Thank you Debbie, I'm glad you like this prickly child.

Yes, JJ they are in a sense, though my Stolen Ones are still around chirruping impatiently in my ear. These girls are part of a wider story and more personal. There is a sense self determination about them but in another way they are unaware of what is lost or being lost.
