Halloween Bash

Welcome to our Halloween Bash, do come in and take a seat...

Would you like a cup of spiced cider, an acorn, a faery apple or perhaps another treat?

Look who's here, it's Abigale in all her party finery and Myrtle's just arriving too!

Gertrude plonks down next with hem singed and charred, been dancing too close to the bone-fire again, no doubt!!

"Spiced Spider brew?" asks Abigale.
"Yes please! It's my favourite too!"squeals Gertrude

Mathilda's here but what's she doing leaning over the cauldron?
Is she checking the loveliness of her new hat?
Oh, but wait, what's that? A spell I hear?

Double Double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
Turd of bird and brain of rat;
Abra-stinky-cadaver or something like that.

Frill of Flouncer and toe of bat...
Oh, my giddy Aunt what is that?!!

'Tis the Ghostly Governessa and she's not best pleased!!
"MISCREANT MATHILDA! YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR DEEDS"
Not thinking it through, a raspberry Mathilda blew...

"MOCK ME WOULD YOU!!!" shrieked the Ghostly Governessa
and quickly she blew, enough disco dust upon them, to cover 92!!

"What's happening?" wailed Mathilda "My feet just won't stay still, I really can't stop dancing and am feeling rather ill!!"

"♪♫ ♪ ♫ It's astounding, time is fleeting, madness takes it's toll... ♪♫ ♪ ♫"

"♪♫ ♪ ♫It's just a jump to the left,
then a step to the right.... ♪♫ ♪ ♫"

Let's leave them be and drink our tea, they'll still be dancing in a week or three!!
Then we'll hop back on our broom's and pay a visit to our host Vanessa Valencia at  A Fanciful Twist she has parties galore and everyone's invited ;)

Melanie, thank you for the party. What a lot of effort you went to. So glad I opted for the faery apples. I hate to imagine the demolition job I would done on my spotless reputation had I got too close to Gertrude after a drop of spiced cider. And has Mathilda really met her match?

Oooh, your little bewitching characters are once more up to no good, I see. Brilliant & loved hearing the Time Warp again (Magenta was a favorite once).. Enjoy the Halloween blog hop!

Oh my! This is wonderful Melanie! Really, really magical and beautiful and whatever other lovely words you can attach 'ful' to. Your photos are absolutely gorgeous and the words and story and images you conjure are simply delightful! I love it, love it, love it! And JJ's right, you went to such a special effort. Aw, I'd love to be a fly on the wall in your house tonight to see what all the little imps get up to when the camera's switched off!

Bravo, missus. Bravo!

You're welcome Jeff, glad you could make it and chose the faery apples, the cider brew invites such shenanigans that can't possibly be mentioned here! Met her match? Hmmm we shall see ;)

Thank you Della, I rediscovered the Time Warp by accident recently, what a joy, I had to use it! Riff Raff must be Mathilda's older brother!!

Thank you Roisin, it took AGES and then there was the issue with Gertrudes hair, ahem!
You know what my house looks like ? Trashed, already!! ;)

Thank you Rodica :)

Oh what fun! Loved the story edged with subtle humor - yep, you got it...this cat did indeed laugh!! Of course I made sure that I wasn't drinking any of the cider er spider cider when I started laughing. You know that's not such a funny thing then. You know spiders coming out your nose or some such nonsense. Anyway, I was trying to say that it was a grand party and I certainly enjoyed myself!!! And oh yes, "she" also had a grand time!

Thanks so much for inviting us!

Miss Melanie your party was charmingly, creepy with its bit of a gothic falir. I simply loved it to death and dear, your dolls are to die for! Beautiful work. Had a good belly laugh though over your re-wording of Shakespeare's scene with the witches - turd of bird. It was rich. Thanks for all the fun. Belinda Mae amagpiehalloween.blogspot.com
